Cascade Township is inviting the community to observe Memorial Day with a ceremony at taking place at 10 AM outside the Cascade Library.
The library is located at 2870 Jacksmith Ave. SE. and will be officiated by Township Supervisor Grace Lesperance. Tim Dieffenbach of Thornapple Community Church will give the invocation.
Retired U.S. Navy Captain Thom W. Burke will be a guest speaker, and the event will recognize members of McDonald-Osmer Post #451 of the American Legion and include a color guard of 3rd Michigan Infantry Co. F Civil War reenactors, a flag raising by Boy Scout Troop 345, and music by the Forest Hills Central High School Jazz Band.
