SPRINGFIELD, Mich. (WOOD) — A father is facing charges in Calhoun County for allegedly abusing his 2-month-old daughter.
The sheriff’s office said the baby’s mother noticed bruising on and around the infant’s head and neck. The child was taken to a hospital where workers found numerous old and new injuries all over her body, authorities said.
The investigation led detectives to the girl’s biological father, who was arrested for felony child abuse. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is withholding his name until he’s formally charged in the case.
