GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Democratic candidates for governor will be at WOOD TV8's Grand Rapids studio this evening for a debate.
The event begins at 7 p.m. It will air on WOOD TV8 and stream live on woodtv.com, and will also stream with captions on our Facebook page.
The candidates include former state Senate minority leader Gretchen Whitmer, businessman Shri Thanedar and former Detroit Health Department Executive Director Dr. Abdul El-Sayed.
The questions put to them will range from the legalization of recreational marijuana to the state of Michigan's roads to education. You can submit your questions by emailing ReportIt@woodtv.com.
The Democratic candidates previously met for a debate on Mackinac Island during the Detroit Regional Chamber Mackinac Policy Conference. That was a joint debate that also included the top three Republican candidates.
WOOD TV8 hosted a debate of the Republican candidates in May.
