Bullet-riddled vehicle found at rest area near US-131

ALAMO  TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is  looking for the owner of a bullet-riddled vehicle found in a rest area near US-131.

The sheriff’s office says it found the red Kia Soul  around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at a rest area near D Avenue in Alamo  Township, northwest of Kalamazoo.

The vehicle had several bullet  holes in it, but no one was inside it. Kalamazoo County Undersheriff  James VanDyken called it a “suspicious occurrence.”

Detectives believe the vehicle was shot in a different location, then left at the rest area.
