KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) â The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre will soon be offering audio description services to help the visually impaired enjoy a night out at the theater.
Ann Marie Miller, coordinator of diversity and inclusion for the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre says the goal is to take down the barriers that separate anyone in the community from enjoying the show.
âThe idea is for people who have visual impairments to have the opportunity to have a voice in their ear that provides information thatâs key to the story,â Miller said. âThey might miss some of those details if they canât see it for themselves.â
