Michigan appeals court upholds injunction blocking ban on flavored e-cigs

LANSING, Mich. (WOODTV) — Michigan's appeals court upheld an injunction blocking the state’s ban on flavored e-cigarettes, ruling that a lower judge did not overstep in ruling for two businesses that sued.

On Friday, the court said in a 3-0 ruling that Court of Claims Judge Cynthia Stephen did not abuse her discretion. In October 2019, Judge Stephens temporarily blocked the state’s weeks-old emergency rules that had been created at the behest of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
