Facebook says it could restrict some content if election leads to unrest

Nick Clegg, Facebookâs head of global affairs, told The Financial Times on Tuesday that the social media giant has âsome break-glass options availableâ including limiting the spread of certain content if the November election results in political instability,
In the interview, Clegg also noted that Facebook had acted aggressively in âother parts of the worldâ where thereâs been instability, using what he called âpretty exceptional measures to significantly restrict the circulation of content on our platform." He did not provide any examples.
