Several dogs taken from Norton Shores shelter have died

Humane Society officials say nine dogs that were confiscated from Cober's Canines have died.

The Norton Shores Police Department says 78 dogs were removed from a home after officials found unfit living conditions.

Police were called to the home of Lisa Cober, who runs the shelter, on reports of excessive dogs at the home.

Officials say nine of the rescued dogs have died due to distemper.
