Kalamazoo County health officials say seven people died and 10 people were hospitalized due to fentanyl-laced cocaine last week.
Officials say 18 total overdoses took place on April 12 and 13.
One of the cases did not require hospitalization.
Kalamazoo County Medical Director Dr. William Nettleton says the overdoses were likely due to unintentional exposure to fentanyl.
