Community meeting to be held on GRPD drones

The Grand Rapids Police Department will hold a community meeting to discuss their proposal to buy drones for department use.

The meeting will be held on June 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lifequest Church.

GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom and Office of Oversight and Public Accountability Director Brandon Davis will be at the meeting to provide information as well as gain community feedback.

Winstrom is proposing buying six drones and training ten officers how to use them.
