The Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is announcing their children's rehabilitation hospital will be named after Joan Secchia.
The Joan Secchia Children's Rehabilitation Hospital will be located across the road from the main hospital's campus and will include a skywalk across the street to connect the two buildings.
Joan is a local philanthropist and the wife of former Ambassador to Italy Peter Secchia.
The groundbreaking is planned for spring 2024 with the hospital expected to be completed by 2026.
