Ottawa County Sheriff Steve Kempker will retire at the end of the year.
Kempker has served in law enforcement for 44 years with 35 of those years serving as part of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
Kempker says it has been an honor to serve with so many talented individuals throughout his career.
He looks forward to spending more time with family.
