GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Polls are now open for in-person voting in Michigan's presidential primary.

The polls will remain open until 8 p.m.

Your sample ballot and other voter information can be viewed here.

For those with absentee ballots, it's too late to drop them in the mail. Ballots must be returned to your clerk's office before polls are closed.

Over a million Michiganders cast ballots early in the state's primary. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says most of those ballots were cast absentee, but more than 78,000 in-person votes were cast during the nine days that early voting was open.

Pre-election turnout was up 13 percent compared to 2020, Benson said.
